Courtney & Brandon had never considered a destination wedding prior to Brandon’s sister planning her very own Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding at Walt Disney World. Afterwards, it wasn’t long before Brandon presented Courtney with the idea to host their wedding at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. Upon seeing some pictures, Courtney stated “it didn't take much convincing. We knew this was the perfect setting for our wedding and our families to come together as one.”
The couple’s magical day began at their resort rooms which overlooked the gorgeous green mountains. Their ceremony setting was not much different as it framed the beautiful surrounding scenery of the sandy beach and sparkling water.
Large palms and delicate white orchids decorated the ceremony space and enhanced the island atmosphere at 'Ama 'Ama Patio. Brandon and his groomsmen wore leafy maile leis to symbolize honor and peace. For a pop of color, Courney’s bridesmaids wore airy peach dresses and Courtney herself carried a colorful bouquet that was the perfect addition for a tropical statement piece.
To celebrate their union, Courtney and Brandon completed a sand ceremony using similar colors to the bridal party’s attire. As the sun set and the couple finally sealed their marriage with a kiss, their officiant blew on a conch shell to signify the start of their new beginning.
Following their ceremony, Courtney and Brandon were able to take gorgeous photos along the serene ocean waters.
At the reception, the island touches continued with similar floral elements showcased throughout the tablescapes and cake. Courtney’s dad also embraced the culture by surprising the couple with his speech, which he had practiced with Disney Cast Members at Aulani to recite entirely in Hawaiian. This sentiment was one of Courtney & Brandon’s most special moments throughout their wedding day and was a beautiful way to commemorate the couple.
