As avid Disney Cruisers, the Disney Treasure offered many elements that Matthew and Joshua favored, “once we found out the Disney Treasure had elements from our favorite films and attractions, we knew the Disney Treasure was the perfect place to get married!”
To start out their magical festivities the couple hosted a welcome dinner at Disney’s Contemporary Resort the night before boarding the Disney Treasure. “It was awesome to have both families and friends meet each other before we embarked on our weeklong celebration.” Following their welcome dinner the couple enjoyed Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom® Park as well as riding the Haunted Mansion® and TRON Lightcycle Run®.
When the big day arrived, the couple held their ceremony at the Grand Hall. A key part to making their special day unique was foregoing traditional wedding parties - Matthew and Joshua, “insisted [their] siblings and parents walk down the aisle.” During their ceremony the couple included some of their favorite music from Avatar, Disney’s Aladdin, and Luca that held meaning to their love story.
After they were wed, the couple and their guests found their way to Skipper Society to celebrate with cake and specialty drinks with their loved ones.
The newlyweds felt that their wedding was, “truly magical”. They shared their favorite part of their day was celebrating with family and friends at the Skipper Society after their ceremony.
After their wedding festivities Matthew and Joshua boarded the Disney Dream for their honeymoon. We are so happy for Matthew and Joshua and wish them the very best. Congratulations to the happy couple!
