“Life is a gift, love is special, and we are lucky to have each other.” – Phinn and Andres.

Phinn and Andres hosted their Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding at Parkview Terrace, followed by a reception at Brisa Courtyard, and culminating with a special surprise for their wedding guests to cap off the celebration. Keep reading for the details!

The couple got ready together at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, dressing in traditional Thai outfits and sharing a special moment to themselves before joining their guests for the wedding ceremony.

A Wedding Ceremony Rich with Culture

Along with all things Disney, Phinn and Andres enjoy hiking and traveling, sharing that they love “visiting countries across the globe and exploring national parks in our own backyard.” So, the Disney Weddings team transformed Brisa Courtyard into a garden of pine and greenery to honor their love for the outdoors. The couple expressed that “having our wedding… surrounded by redwood trees and the architectural beauty of the Arts & Crafts movement all while the Disney monorail travels by it felt like having a destination wedding right here at home.”

The couple wanted their wedding to be a celebration of their culture, interests, and authentic selves, and shared that “being able to do so, while sprinkling a little Disney magic, made for the most unforgettable experience that exceeded all our expectations.”

As part of the ceremony décor, the venue was adorned with greenery and flowers in shades of orange, yellow, and pink. The couple also incorporated a floral petal toss at the end of their ceremony.

Andres loves Star Wars, so Phinn wanted to surprise him with a magical moment of his own. And the best part, he included their wedding guests in the surprise.

As Andres walked down the aisle, all their wedding guests took out lightsabers to ignite his way.

The wedding ceremony at Parkview Terrace was full of culture and tradition, beginning with a western vow ceremony, followed by a traditional Thai Water Blessing, where guests were invited to offer their blessings, well wishes, and marriage advice as they poured water over their hands. The couple expressed that it was beautiful to have that intimate exchange with all their guests.

A Celebratory Outdoor Wedding Reception

Following their wedding ceremony, Phinn and Andres were welcomed by their guests at  Brisa Courtyard to the rhythms of Celia Cruz – a renowned salsa singer. The couple shared that “The Disney Culinary Team whipped up the most incredible meal, including custom Mickey Mouse fruit tarts for our guests.” Their wedding cake featured their two favorite park snacks, with the top half being dole whip flavored and the bottom half being churro flavored.

Surprise & Delight Fireworks

To top off their Disney wedding, the couple surprised their guests with a reserved viewing of World of Color at Disney California Adventure Park. They provided their guests with the famous Grand Californian Hotel hot chocolate and freshly popped popcorn as they were escorted into the park for the nighttime spectacular.

The couple shared that they saw their Disney Fairy Tale Wedding as day celebrating their love, but also as an occasion for their family and friends to have a great time. They wanted the experience at their wedding to be an expression and extension of their love.

Phinn and Andres expressed that they “knew from day one we were in the best of hands with the Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings Team, feeling so welcomed and taken care of” and because of this, they decided to continue their celebration with their honeymoon in the Bahamas with Disney Cruise Line
