Erin & Dominic hosted a wedding weekend aboard the Disney Dream that was nothing short of memorable! Keep reading for all of the exciting details.
After their Disneyland Resort engagement, Erin & Dominic knew that a Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding was in their future. As avid Disney cruisers, the couple shared “we loved the idea of having 3 full days and nights to spend with our guests, and we were really excited to introduce so many of our favorite people to the magical DCL experience we know and love.” They chose Disney Cruise Line because they knew that it would “allow us to plan a celebration most authentic to us and our casual, fun-loving, goofy selves.”
When planning their wedding, Erin and Dominic took time to ensure the traditional events of their wedding would balance with the unique venue and Disney nods they incorporated. Welcoming their friends and family aboard during embarkation allowed the couple to spend time and take pictures with their guests while building excitement for the weekend ahead. When the big day arrived, the couple got ready before sharing a romantic first look at The Atrium and private vows on their verandah.
As the ship docked at Castaway Cay, Erin, Dominic, and their wedding guests all headed to The Wedding Pointe for an intimate ceremony. Beautiful white chairs faced a gorgeous seascape with the Disney Dream docked in the distance.
Guests arrived in elevated tropical-wear and the bridal party carried bubble wands for an immersive touch. Dominic also mimicked the tropical surroundings by wearing a shirt from Tommy Bahama’s Disney collection. Erin wore a gown inspired by Princess Tiana from the Disney’s Fairy Weddings & Honeymoons line by Allure Bridals.
The couple continued to keep their ceremony unique to them by incorporating a Konk Koolers unity ceremony, the signature drink of Castaway Cay. Erin’s sister-in-law shared sentiments about the two joining their lives together while they mixed the drink and shared it before sealing their vows with a kiss.
After their “I do’s,” Erin and Dominic hosted a reception back on board at the Skyline Lounge with delicious food and drinks. They shared a sweet first dance and many toasts with their loved ones.
Following their reception, the couple was able to attend more onboard activities with their guests to continue the celebration. Their favorite by far was Pirate Night. Dressing up, seeing the fireworks, and dancing altogether, was the perfect end to the celebration. Erin & Dominic shared that “it felt like an extension of our reception!”
The couple shared, “Not only did we have an incredible time and made memories to last a lifetime, our guests also had an amazing vacation and many of them can't wait to sail with Disney again.” We loved all the memorable moments from this celebration of love and are so excited to have played a small role in Erin and Dominic’s love story. Congratulations to the happy couple!
