Reizel and Jimmy hosted an intimate Disney Wedding on the shores of Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island, during their cruise on the Disney Wish. Throughout Reizel and Jimmy’s long-distance relationship, Disney vacations kept them close. “During our long-distance relationship, we would have Disney vacations when we met up. We’ve been to Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Aulani, and Disney Cruises. Since Disney has been a big part of our relationship, we wanted to have that same magic on our special day.”
A Wedding Ceremony on Disney’s Private Island
The Wedding Pointe was the perfect island wedding venue for their private wedding ceremony on Castaway Cay. The couple exchanged vows overlooking the crystal blue waters with the Disney Wish Cruise Ship in the distance.
Picture Perfect Island Wedding Portraits
Following their wedding ceremony, Reizel and Jimmy rode off to explore the island together as husband and wife. Snapping photos along the white-sand beach and at the iconic Mt. Rustmore.
Onboard Wedding Festivities
Meeting their family back onboard the Disney Wish, Reizel and Jimmy celebrated their Disney wedding reception at The Bayou. Inspired by Princess and the Frog, The Bayou features mystical marsh, lily pad light fixtures, and a canopy of twinkling fireflies.
“Dancing in The Bayou with Reizel was very romantic. We love the florals on the ceiling and just everything about it. My family and I also enjoyed all the beignets they gave us at The Bayou. We love enjoying them at Disneyland, so it was fun to eat them in our formal attire.”
Wedding Photoshoot Aboard the Disney Wish
The couple also spent time taking wedding portraits together around the Disney Wish cruise ship.
“We really enjoyed going around the Wish with our photographers. We took Cinderella-inspired photos at the Grand Hall. And we even had fun shots taken at the Inside Out: Joyful Sweets with our ice cream. We really ate A LOT.”
Disney Fireworks to End Their Wedding Cruise
Capping off the celebration, Reizel and Jimmy enjoyed the magical Disney fireworks on deck—complete with a pair of bridal Minnie Ears!
