Disney has been a special part of their relationship from the very beginning. What started as a date to the movies to watch Pixar’s Inside Out, turned into trips to the Disney Parks for birthdays, anniversaries, and celebratory trips. Daniel even proposed while the couple were walking around Disneyland Hotel with a Venus et Fleur rose and a note that read “Will you be my forever Disney date.”
As inspiration for their very own Disney Wedding, Emily shared that “we wanted a wedding where we didn’t have to worry and truly have fun. Disney has always been a place of fun and magic since we were children and we wanted to be able to share the love and magic we feel with all our loved ones. We knew we could let go of control and trust Disney in helping us create our dream wedding.”

Their wedding celebrations actually began with a dinner[ARE1] at the Diamond Horseshoe Restaurant inside of The Magic Kingdom. A wonderful way to start their fun-filled Disney Wedding week! After dinner, the couple and their guests spent the night exploring the Magic Kingdom Park.

After beginning the day with a beautiful first look inside Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Emily and Daniel celebrated their upcoming nuptials with their wedding party with drinks at Barcelona Lounge. The couple then headed over to Casitas Courtyard, a beautiful outdoor venue adorned with string lights at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.

Emily shared that “overall, we wanted a timeless and romantic look for our wedding. After going to the Disney Fairy Tale Wedding showcase in Anaheim (February 2020), we fell in love with a ceremony set up that featured a curved aisle. We knew we had a curved aisle for our own special day and wanted to incorporate whites and creams with touches of gold to add a romantic and classic touch. Disney brought everything we envisioned to life.”

Following their wedding ceremony, the couple surprised their guests with a wedding reception at the American Adventure Rotunda in EPCOT. They expressed that “we wanted to share with our guests the magic and fun we felt with Disney and bring them back to their childhood. During our reception, we surprised everyone with an appearance from Minnie and Mickey, Mickey Pretzels and premium bars, and confetti bursts to end the night’s celebration. For us one of our favorite memories that we look back on were the faces of joy and surprise and the screams from everyone of all ages when Mickey and Minnie entered the room.”
Their wedding reception design kept the timeless and romantic look the couple envisioned, from custom table décor like enhanced linen with gold trim and gold Chiavari chairs, to custom up-lighting to set the tone of the event and even a custom GOBO in the center of the dance floor to add a personalized décor element.

But the surprises didn’t end there. Following their wedding reception, the couple and their guests were able to cap off the night with a private viewing of Harmonious in the Japan Pavilion.

“I think for us, our favorite moment was that we were able to truly take in the day and have enjoy every aspect of our wedding. We felt so taken care of by Disney and didn’t worry about a single thing the entire day. Planning a Disney wedding is very different than planning a traditional wedding, but after you learn to trust the process, Disney will make your wedding dreams become a reality and that is exactly what Disney did for us.”
“To this day, when we look back on our wedding it’s hard not to smile. Disney made our dream wedding into real life fairy tale. It was everything we could’ve imagined and so much more and we wouldn’t have changed a thing even if we wanted.”
