Love at first sight, Emily and Ryan met at a lake house which inspired Ryan to propose to Emily on the water. The couples’ connection with the water sparked their interest in a warm, beach wedding. As Disney lovers, when the two stumbled upon Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, Emily said, “a beach AND Disney??? Sounds like a match made in Heaven!”
Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is located on Florida’s scenic Atlantic Treasure Coast and has idyllic views of sparkling blue water. The resort offers multiple venue locations for a memorable wedding day. For Emily and Ryan, that memorable venue was Croquet Lawn with its lush green landscaping and the ocean just beyond.
Emily and Ryan’s ceremony was light and airy. Flowing fabric and beautiful blue and white floral tied in the couple’s love for the beach. The wedding party’s attire reflected the picturesque surroundings with the bridesmaids in blue chiffon gowns and the groomsmen sporting sand-colored suits with a light blue tie.
The couple also performed a sand ceremony which was their favorite part of the day. Emily and Ryan explained how the two colors of sand poured “represents the two of us coming together as one, and how that sand can never be separated back into its original containers, as our lives will now forever be intertwined.” This special moment left no dry eyes among the guests.
Beautiful blue and white floral continued to embellish the cocktail hour and reception spaces that Emily and Ryan chose. Just like the sun setting on water, glittering lights made the space sparkle as the couple and their guests danced the night away. Special details like quotes and sayings from beloved Disney movies as well as a refreshing sweet treat of DOLE Whip, also helped surprise guests and showcase the couple’s love for Disney.
