Jeanette and Luis proclaim that they “grew up as Disney kids; he was the Star Wars obsessed one and [she] was the fairytale loving one.” When deciding on their venue, a wedding with Disney Cruise Line interested them since it combined their “love for travel, the sea, and Disney.”
In addition to these facts, Jeannette & Luis knew wedding aboard a Disney cruise ship would be a memorable and fun way to celebrate, especially with it being the couple’s first ever Disney cruise. Jeanette and Luis invited 40 of their friends and family members for their festivities. They chose the Disney Wish as Jeanette had fallen “in love with the fairy tale castle inspired Grand Hall,” especially with the charm of the holiday decorations, and Luis had “loved the New Orleans inspired aspect of the Bayou.”
On the morning of their wedding, a beautiful rainbow graced the skies as the couple got ready at the Untangled Salon and Hook’s Barbery. Jeannette and Luis had a focus on family throughout their wedding and were both excited to incorporate their daughters into their day with special Disney touches like bubble wand bouquets.
During their ceremony, Jeanette emerged from the top of the staircase for her “ultimate princess moment.” The staircase was decked in glowing garland and a sparkling tree also adorned the space, creating a romantic ambiance.
After they were wed, the couple and their guests found their way to The Bayou, “with its New Orleans flair and overhead flourishing magnolia blossoms.” Everyone enjoyed heartfelt speeches, delicious food, and lots of dancing before enjoying the ship for the rest of the day.
That night, Jeanette, Luis, and all their guests met for dinner at 1923 and then dressed up for Pirate Night where they danced and watched fireworks for a truly memorable experience together!
“The aspect of fun is written all over a Disney cruise wedding. We loved that we had not just a few hours to celebrate with our guests, we had the entire cruise. We got to spend little pockets of quality time with all our guests. Be it at dinners, enjoying the vibes together at the different lounges, relaxing at the beach at Castaway Cay, grabbing a specialty coffee at one of the cafes, partying it up dressed as pirates on Pirate Night and ending wedding night enjoying the fireworks together. Our wedding aboard the Disney Wish was pure magic!”
