Anshu & Shawn’s unforgettable celebration across the Walt Disney World Resort was a celebration of love, family & their heritage. Keep reading to see all the details from their fairy tale wedding!
The couple was intentional in making every event feel unique & giving their guests an unforgettable experience – and the Disney Weddings team helped them accomplish this. Each space was outfitted in spectacular decor and allowed their group to gather and celebrate their marriage. From a colorful celebration at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion to a starry night-inspired reception at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the couple’s guests understood the assignment & dressed to the nines to match the theme of each event.
The couple’s Sangeet took place at American Adventure Rotunda in EPCOT. Their menu included signature Disney Park-inspired items including a specialty drink Mango Lassi, and chicken flatbread. They danced the night away before surprising their guests with a private viewing of the nighttime spectacular, LuminoUS: The Symphony of Us from Italy Isola, which was one of their favorite moments of the weekend.
The next day, Anshu & Shawn’s Hindu wedding ceremony was held at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion. Leaning heavily into the fairy tale atmosphere of the space, their mandap and floral embraced romantic shades of lavender, pink, and cream. Anshu & Shawn incorporated important cultural traditions and rituals into their wedding weekend with their family and friends who attended.
The stars were aligned for Anshu & Shawn’s reception, adorning the ballroom with hues of deep blue, gold, and white to create a romantic atmosphere for their celebration. Guests enjoyed a buffet with traditional South Asian menu items including naan bread & butter chicken inspired by Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Sanaa restaurant, lentil daal, vegetable Zanzibar, and more, followed by churro flavored wedding cake and other treats.
