To celebrate their love, Micaela and Dominick planned a destination wedding aboard the Disney Dream. From Bahamian sunsets, to a ceremony on Disney’s private island, and fun-filled days aboard the cruise ship—this was a wedding trip of a lifetime.
The pair first met in college, and throughout the years, they have created timeless memories at Disney Parks around the globe. From dates at Walt Disney World, to a romantic trip to Disneyland Paris, and an epic proposal Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland. Traveling and Disney has always been a significant theme in their fairy tale.
So, when it came time to planning their Disney wedding, the couple shared:
“As Disney fans with a love for traveling, we wanted to make our wedding a vacation that our family and friends will never forget.”
Setting sail aboard the Disney Dream, Micaela, Dominick and their wedding guests were able to celebrate together all week long!
From immersive dining experiences, Broadway style performances, and unique opportunities to celebrate with one another—this wedding cruise was definitely a vacation to remember.
“During the duration of our wedding cruise, It was very important for us to take in each and every moment celebrating our union with our guests. Also, who else can say that they rode the AquaDuck just a few hours before getting ready for their big day?”
Micaela and Dominick chose Wedding Pointe for their ceremony venue. This stunning and intimate location sits on a dock overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.
Micaela shared, “It was a hard decision to decide between the many wonderful locations to wed aboard the Disney Dream, but it was the breathtaking views and beautiful floral arch that solidified our decision.”
“Our favorite moment was greeting each other at the arch to share our vows. It was a gorgeous sight to take in: the Atlantic Ocean, the Disney Dream and each other.”
After their island ceremony, the wedding crew were back onboard to celebrate! From bubble wands, to a signature drink inspired by their lovable pet, to dancing, toasts and a delicious wedding cake—there was lots of fun to be had.
To end their wedding day, the couple enjoyed a romantic dining experience for two at Palo, and took portraits around the stunning ship.
Despite postponing their original wedding date due to the pandemic, Micaela and Dominick shared, “It was worth the wait because Disney went above and beyond to
make all our Disney wedding dreams come true.”
