Diana and Sixto met in Philadelphia on the dance floor – two lifelong Disney fans that shared the dream to have a Disney Wedding.
The couple chose to host their wedding ceremony at Italy Plaza in EPCOT, expressing that it was very important for them to “have most of their events inside a theme park or with a unique theme park aspect such as fireworks and characters that our guests could not get at any other wedding venue.”
Hosting their Disney Wedding during EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival, Italy was already the perfect setting, covered in colorful floral and larger-than-life topiaries. It was a true fairy tale with beautiful ceremony décor in purple hues, with an altar draped in purple silk and custom chairs to match the aesthetic and architecture of the buildings around them. Diana shared that she “remembers feeling so overwhelmed with emotion upon seeing the beauty of their venue, all their loved ones at once and her future husband at the end of the aisle.”
Following their bubble wand exit, Diana and Sixto took advantage of EPCOT’s immersive destinations by taking portraits around the Italy Pavilion before joining their guests at Living Seas Salon in EPCOT Future World for their wedding reception.
With custom up lighting, themed décor and the salon’s views into the aquarium, their wedding reception felt like “an amazing under the sea party.”
Diana and Sixto expressed that they wanted to share their love of Disney and its magic to all their guests, so they chose to have Donald Duck and Pluto visit their reception to celebrate with them.
It was a day full of celebration, ending with a dessert party at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, where the couple and their guests enjoyed delicious desserts and watched the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Spectacular, Enchantment. Diana and Sixto described their dessert party as the “storybook ending we always dreamed of.”
Diana described their dreamy fairy tale wedding as “a unique once in a lifetime experience to share our love with the most important people in our lives at the happiest place on earth.” She shared that “each aspect of our wedding day was so special and demonstrated the uniqueness of our love and friendship.”
