Allison & Erick were brought together by a meet-cute on a movie set. The two instantly connected over their love for their childhood video games & travelling to new cities together. On top of this, Allison’s love for Disney confirmed “that a Disney Fairytale Wedding was something we absolutely had to choose!”
When planning their wedding, Allison & Erick had a goal of making sure everything had meaning. “From the music we chose, the venues, the surprises, and the twists we had on a traditional wedding,” Allison & Erick wanted their details to hold significance to their relationship. With this in mind, the couple chose venues across the Disneyland Resort which “holds an unmatched feeling of magic, nostalgia, and joy” for them. They also hosted other celebratory festivities throughout property including a welcome reception for their family at Craftsman Grill at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, a rehearsal dinner in Downtown Disney, and on the morning of their wedding, Erick celebrated his bachelor party at Trader Sam's and Allison visited Matterhorn Bobsleds for a thrilling experience with her brother.
That evening, guests arrived in black tie formal attire at the beautiful gazebo for the ceremony at Rose Court Garden. The couple shared “We loved the idea of tying in formal dress to the whimsy [ambiance] of being at the Disneyland Resort.” The couple had stunning swirls of pink and white rose petals lining the aisle and after saying their vows, joined everyone for a cocktail hour at Adventure Lawn, accompanied with music from a mariachi band.
Following their cocktail hour, the couple snuck away for a first look of their reception at Sleeping Beauty Pavilion. This moment of alone time to see their vision come to life and share a private first dance was one of the couple’s favorite moments from the day.
Soon, their guests arrived and the party began. The couple had “a buffet to remember" and other delicious culinary creations. They also included two late night surprises for their guests of a yummy popcorn snack and an immersive experience of riding Radiator Springs Racers. “The joy on our guest’s faces at that moment brought us so much happiness as we knew that in addition to the two of us having the best day of our lives, our guests would never forget the magical details of our special day either!”
Not only did they have a dreamy park photoshoot, but they also incorporated documentary styled film photography throughout their day. Allison & Erick shared that it was important for them to “be in the moment and enjoy." Their love for each other & for Disney was also captured in their park portrait session which showcases even more of the Disney magic this couple experienced throughout their wedding celebration.
