Megan and Lake chose the Disney Dream to host them and their family on their wedding cruise. Sailing from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas and Disney’s Private Island, Castaway Cay which would be the backdrop to their picture-perfect wedding ceremony.
“It was so important to Lake and I that we had our close family and friends with us. We also really wanted to show who we are as a couple in the wedding. A Disney Wedding aboard the Disney Cruise Line was the perfect way to bridge those things together.”
A romantic water-front wedding ceremony
Their wedding day started with getting ready in their stateroom, then boarding a private tram to their Disney wedding venue, Wedding Pointe on Castaway Cay. The secluded dock adds a level of privacy to your wedding event, with the breathtaking backdrop of your Disney Cruise Ship and the clear ocean waters. Their wedding ceremony was full of smiles and laughter, and a little bit of wind.
An Island Photoshoot
Taking full advantage of the tropical island, Megan and Lake explored the sandy beaches and island foliage for the perfect photo backdrop. Making a stop at some of the most iconic locations on the island and even snapping a photo with Mickey Mouse himself!
On-Board Festivities
The picture-perfect moments didn’t end there! Back on-board the Disney Dream, Megan and Lake continued to capture wedding portraits before rejoining their guests for a Cake and Champagne Celebration.
Joining their family and friends at the Outlook, a cozy cocktail space, they had an intimate celebration with a wedding cake, champagne toasts and and a first dance.
To end their wedding day, the couple and their guests watched the fireworks together. What a way to cap off the celebration!
