QWhy should I host my wedding or vow renewal event at Walt Disney World Resort?
AWhen it comes to your wedding or vow renewal event, we offer a variety of Disney Wedding Services to provide you with an easier planning experience. With experts in food and beverage, entertainment, floral and décor and transportation, we leave no area unchecked. Your Disney Wedding Planner is included and is your main point of contact throughout the process. On the day of your wedding or vow renewal, a team of Disney Wedding Coordinators will orchestrate the team of Disney experts so that the two of you and your guests can relax and enjoy your special day.
QHow many people can I host at my wedding or vow renewal event?
AWe offer experiences that range from an intimate celebration for 2 to grand celebrations for over 300. We have a variety of location options that can meet your needs.
QWhen can I host my wedding or vow renewal?
ADays
Events can take place 7 days a week and most days of the year. The only days we do not host wedding and vow renewal events are Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Time
Ceremony times for many of our locations are 9:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:30 PM, 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM.
Our theme park ceremonies take place at different times, with most taking place either early in the morning (before park open) or later in the evening (after park close). Please check with your Disney Wedding Consultant for more details.

QWill I be able to tour my venues?
AWe offer open houses at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion and Franck’s Studio a couple weekends a month. Both locations are also open Monday through Friday during select hours. Additionally, some of our venues are also open to the public and you can visit them at your leisure, based on availability. Please check with your Disney Wedding Consultant for the hours and locations.
QWhen can I book my event?
AYou can begin planning with your Disney Wedding Consultant 16 months prior for wedding and vow renewal events including a ceremony and full reception with meal and 10 months prior for all other wedding and vow renewal events. At that time, you will be able to determine the best date, time and location for your event. Ceremony and full reception events can be booked up to 12 months prior to your requested wedding or vow renewal date. All other wedding or vow renewal events can be booked up to 10 months prior to your requested date.
QCan Disney provide all of the required services for my wedding or vow renewal event?
AThe experts at Disney can provide the majority of your services for your wedding or vow renewal ceremony and reception. This includes:

QIs transportation provided for my wedding events?
AWe can assist you with transportation for you and your guests for your wedding, vow renewal, and auxiliary events. Transportation for you and your guests during the wedding or vow renewal event will be applied towards your event minimum. Options range from chartered motor coaches to specialty cars for the wedding couple. If you choose to host any part of your wedding event in one of our theme parks, with some exceptions for dessert parties, you will be required to provide transportation for you and your guests.
As part of the Walt Disney World Resort experience, complimentary bus service is available between all Disney Resort hotels, Disney theme parks, Water Parks and Disney Springs.

QHow do I plan the menu for my wedding event?
AFor your reception with a full meal, we offer in-person group menu tastings several times a month which offers you the opportunity to taste some of the wonderful culinary options available for your event.
You may schedule your menu tasting with your Disney Wedding Planning Team.
If you are not available for an in-person menu tasting, your Wedding Planner can expertly guide you through this process via phone appointments and email.
Please keep in mind that all food and beverage, including the wedding cake, must be provided by Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings.

QCan I have a religious ceremony?
AAll of our ceremony locations are designed as non-denominational ceremony options. The content of your ceremony is determined by you and your officiant. You are welcome to contact and arrange for the officiant of your choice.
QCan I provide my own wedding services?
AOne of the best things about hosting your wedding or vow renewal at Disney is that you can relax and let us take care of most of the elements of your event. If this is not right for your wedding event, our ballroom locations do allow you to bring in some additional services.
PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY QUESTIONS
QWhat is the best way to arrange for Photography and Videography services for my wedding events?
ADisney's Fine Art Photography will be thrilled to work with you on documenting your events while you are here for your wedding or vow renewal. Our professional team of photographers know the best locations here on property.
QCan I take photos in the theme parks?
AYou can arrange for a Portrait Session with our Disney Fine Art Photography team. This option is for the wedding couple only and is an additional cost. The sessions are offered in all of our parks and take place prior to the park opening. Please note the sessions in the Magic Kingdom Park can be very limited during certain times of the year. Theme Park portrait sessions with outside photography and videography vendors is prohibited.
QMay I use an outside photographer/videographer?
AYou are able to bring in an outside photographer and/or videographer for your event at any location on property, except Magic Kingdom park. If you choose to bring photo/video services from an outside vendor, please note:
- An agreement must be signed between your photographer/videographer and Disney.
- Your photographer/videographer will have to present adequate proof of insurance.
- You will also be required to pay for a media guide to escort your photographer if they are capturing any of your events in one of our theme parks.

QHow do I calculate the cost of my wedding?
APrices for weddings at Walt Disney World Resort are based on overall event minimums, inclusive of the ceremony venue fee and any combination of Disney Wedding Services. Your event minimum will vary by day of week, time of day and venue.

QWhat elements go toward meeting my food and beverage minimum expenditure?
AAnything you choose to provide to your guests to eat or drink at your event will have a cost and this cost will go toward meeting your food and beverage minimum. These elements can include things like drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), cocktail hour food, plated or buffet dinner, wedding cake and champagne toast.
QWhat elements go toward meeting my minimum expenditure?
ADisney Wedding Services are additional event elements that you choose for Disney to provide for your wedding event or vow renewal ceremony or reception. These services can include things like entertainment, transportation, floral, décor, photography and videography. Your Disney Wedding Planner will help you choose which elements are important to you and those element costs will go toward your event minimum requirement.
QIs there a fee for my ceremony?
AIf you choose to host your ceremony at the Walt Disney World Resort, there will be applicable fees covering seating, music and sound for your ceremony. If you choose to not host a ceremony at Walt Disney World Resort, these fees will not apply.
QWhen are the payments due?
AThe first payment required is when you sign your letter of agreement. At this time, you will be required to place a non-refundable event deposit, which is determined by your event minimum. The second payment, which is often the largest and is determined by your estimated guest count and Disney Wedding Services, or your overall minimum expenditure, is required at 90 days prior to your wedding events. Your final payment is due 30 days prior to your wedding event date. Payments can be made via credit card payments or wire transfer. We do not offer any financing of your event.

QAre guests required to stay at the Walt Disney World Resort?
AGuests are not required to stay at the Walt Disney World Resort. Although most of our wedding guests take advantage of the proximity, varied selection and uniqueness of our resorts, guests can choose to stay where they would like. We do offer many different price points for our resort guests and there is an option for almost everyone.
QIs booking a hotel room block for my wedding guests an option?
AYes. We do offer the option to build a room block for your guests. To secure a hotel room block, you must commit to a minimum of 10 room nights. Your Disney Wedding Consultant can provide more details.
QAm I expected to pay for my guest's hotel rooms?
AMost of our couples have their guests select, reserve and pay for rooms on their own however, if you would like to provide rooms for your guests we can assist with this as well.
QDo my wedding guests receive specially priced theme park tickets?
AYes! Your wedding guests can purchase specially priced theme park tickets with Park Hopper option. Your Disney Wedding Consultant can provide more details.
