If you’re recently engaged and considering hosting your wedding at Walt Disney World, then you probably have a couple questions about the planning process. So, we’re taking time to answer some of the most popular questions we receive!
Getting Started! How do I start planning my Disney Wedding?
Our team is excited to connect with you and learn about your unique wedding vision! For couples hosting a Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings at Walt Disney World, we begin planning 16 months ahead of their anticipated wedding date.
Our Disney Wedding Consultants are standing by ready to connect with you to learn more about your vision and begin recommending wedding venues to consider for your event.
When planning a Disney wedding ceremony and reception, we are able to book your venue space 12 months ahead of your wedding date! After that, you will be introduced to your Disney wedding team who will help guide and inspire you along the rest of your wedding planning journey.
PLANNING TIP: Site inspections are great way to connect with our team! You’re invited to come and tour a variety of venues before deciding on the perfect location for your wedding.
How do I determine my Disney Wedding budget?
Setting a wedding budget is an important part of the wedding planning process and we’re happy to help you! At Walt Disney World, wedding pricing is designed to be very flexible and allow you to include the experiences that are most important to you and the guests that you want to share it with.
How does this work? Your wedding event minimum is determined by the wedding venue you choose, the day of the week and time of your event. Once your minimum has been determined you can meet that cost by incorporating the elements that our most important to you in order to create your fairy tale wedding!
Based on your wedding vision, you can choose between a variety of services to meet your minimum. Once you’ve met your wedding event minimum, you’re good! But, you can always exceed that minimum to create your dream wedding experience.

Wedding Planning! What does the wedding planning journey look like?
Once you’ve worked with your Disney Wedding Consultant to select a wedding venue and choose a date and time for your wedding, then you will be introduced to your Disney wedding team! Your wedding planner will manage all the details related to your event. From coordinating logistics with photography, culinary, floral, to curating timelines, and more! They are there to give you the peace of mind so that you can enjoy every moment of your special day.
Throughout your planning journey your Disney Wedding Planner will work with you to plan your wedding over the phone, through email, and/or in-person. You and your planner can determine what planning cadence works best for you throughout your planning process based on your individual needs – which may include experiences like menu tastings and wedding rehearsals.
